Coffee Concert I

Mozart's celebrated G minor string quintet is one of his late great works with the second viola as prominent as the first. The work has dramatic overtones similar to those in the Symphony No. 40 in G minor. Nielsen's quartet is less familiar to English audiences and an example of rich, late Scandinavian romanticism. A treat to hear it in the hands of this leading Danish quartet.
