A weekend celebration of classical music is coming to Cromer. Cromer Music Fetival will feature the internationally renowned group of musicians, Gemini, who will play 3 concerts featuring a variety of music compositions in Cromer Parish Hall.
The concerts across the weekend will feature music by a variety of contemporary composers such as Nicola LeFanu, Dave Smith and John Hopkins. The diverse programme will also feature music from well know composers from the past including Peter Maxwell Davies, Rebecca Clarke and Percy Grainger. The Festival will end with a Beethoven String Trio.
The weekend will also feature two workshops with the members of Gemini. The first workshop will be to coach young people through a process of composing music with an extra pre-concert event by Gemini where they will play the music rehearsed in the workshop. The composition workshop is open to anyone 18 and under and the Norfolk and Suffolk Music Hub is recruiting participants.
The second workshop will coach competent saxophonists of any age playing music from the repertoire. (Grade V or equivalent, any sized saxophone).
